### Melting and Casting Process
The melting and casting of MP159 utilize a dual production process involving vacuum induction melting followed by vacuum arc remelting.
### Application Overview and Special Requirements
MP159 alloy is primarily utilized for fasteners in aircraft engines. It demonstrates stable performance at temperatures up to 600 °C and is recognized as the best material for aircraft engine fasteners due to its comprehensive performance.
The alloy is strengthened through the formation of a large number of phases distributed in a network structure via cold deformation. Therefore, it is crucial to strictly control the process parameters during cold drawing. Insufficient deformation results in inadequate strength, while excessive deformation can enhance strength at the cost of plasticity. Practical experience indicates that maintaining cold deformation at the lower limit yields the best overall properties for the alloy.
